Activities and Clubs
Workshops and Visits
Throughout the year we regularly organise travelling workshops and visiting speakers. The girls benefit hugely from these visitors who enhance our delivery of the curriculum. In the past these have included: dance, music, drama, history geography, science, PSHE and maths puzzle days.
Every term each year group goes on a class trip. These trips are planned as an extension of the curriculum and are linked to topic work completed at school. We travel by public transport or make use of our school minibus for longer journeys. Some examples of past visits are Nursery to Bracknell discovery centre, Year 1 to the Natural History Museum, Year 2 to Brighton and Year 4 to the Globe theatre. In addition we organize a residential trip to France for the girls in Key Stage 2 and the girls in Year 6 visit Flatford Mill in their last term with us.
Clubs
An extensive range of clubs are available after school until 4.30pm. These clubs are available to all pupils from nursery to Year 6 and are split into three age groups to better meet the needs of the children. They are run predominantly by our staff but we also use outside specialist companies. Our clubs’ programme includes: tennis, netball, street dance, debating, film making, cooking, crafts, Spanish, Mandarin, tone chimes, computer programming and touch typing. We also have a choir and orchestra club, both of which run during lunch time.
