We have a specialist drama teacher who takes weekly lessons with children throughout the school. We have a dedicated drama room filled with props and costumes to facilitate artistic expression.
Our varied curriculum teaches the children not only to develop their acting and performance skills but also improves their confidence and public speaking abilities. The children work on a theme each term learning a variety of skills such as writing their own plays, producing films, improvisation, expression, physical manifestation and group collaboration. From transition the girls take part in a termly class assembly to which families are invited. Additionally, regular performance assemblies are held where girls can choose to perform in front of the whole school. The final week of school each year sees a magnificent drama production by Year 6 which is always eagerly anticipated.
