BACK TO SCHOOL – Welcome back!
A very warm welcome to you all and especially so to our new parents and children! We look forward to a close partnership with yourselves and wish you many happy years within our caring community.
SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHS
On Wednesday 22nd September, we will have a whole school photograph taken by our official photographers Gilman & Soame. Please make sure that all children are wearing their summer uniform.
TEAM BUILDING WITH YEARS 5 & 6
In the first week of term the Year 5 and 6 girls enjoyed some team building activities on the playground with Mr Jolley. The girls loved playing parachute games and designing their own assault courses using the sports equipment
JEANS FOR GENES
On Friday 17th September we are inviting all children to come to school wearing jeans. We would ask you to pay £2 or more if you would like, that will be collected for the Jeans for Genes charity. This is a charity that supports children born with genetic disorders. Please be generous.
SECOND HAND UNIFORM
We will begin selling second uniform from the school playground once again next week. The Parents’ Association is organising this and we will be doing two classes per day, Tuesday – Friday at 9.15am:
Tuesday 14th Sept – Nursery & Transition – 9.15am
Wednesday 15th Sept – Year 1 & Y2 – 9.15am
Thursday 16th Sept – Year 4 & Y5 – 9.15am
Friday 17th Sept – Year 5 & Y6 – 9.15am
No need to make an appointment, just arrive at 9.15am promptly.
MILK
Please note that we offer all children milk at morning break. This is a good source of protein and calcium and is an excellent snack at mid-morning. We do not force children to drink it but would appreciate your support in encouraging them to do so. Any allergies or serious dislikes, please drop us a note to let us know. Otherwise, please be aware that we will continue from our end, to encourage them to drink milk each breaktime.
