BUDDHIST SYMBOLS

In RE, Year 5 have been looking at Buddhist symbols and explored their meanings. The girls then went on to create their own symbols having reflected on their individual values and interests.

SPORTS DAY

Our Sports Day will take place on Monday 5th July at 2.00pm at The Cricket Club in Corfton Road. As this is an outdoor event, the government guidance allows us to have multiple bubbles of 30. As such and having discussed this with the cricket club, we are inviting one parent per family to join us and attend in person. We have been asked by the cricket club to let parents know that they may bring their own picnic blankets or chairs to sit on, or they may use the benches in the grounds, but to please not move any of the furniture. The parents’ areas will be clearly marked. The Café will be open to parents as will the lavatories. Children will have had lunch at school and will not therefore be given any snacks and it will not be possible for parents to mix with the children until dismissal time. We will provide bottles of water for the children, but they may also bring their water bottles. Masks are required to be worn by parents. Dismissal will be staggered and as follows:

Nursery & Transition : 3:00-3:30

1&2 : 3:45-3:50

3&4:3:50-3:55

5&6 : 3:55-4:00

Please ensure the children come to school wearing their house T-shirt and black cap.
