This term we are supporting the wonderful Mary’s Meals charity that provides children in disadvantaged parts of the world with free meals whilst attending school. Please take a moment to watch this short videothat we showed the children this week, that outlines the
principles and the work of Mary’s Meals:

As part of our fund raising, we are asking children to come to school on Friday 28th January wearing their own clothes and we are hoping for a generous donation of between £2 – £5 for a non-uniform day. During our assembly, the children indicated that they would be
happy to donate some of their own ‘pocket-money’ towards the non-uniform day and of course this is such a worthwhile experience for them, expressing compassion, generosity and philanthropy.

In addition, we are also having a coffee morning for parents, on the same Friday 28th January at 8.30am in our front garden. Coffee and cake will be provided and we are hoping for £5 per person.

Please support our efforts to raise as much money as possible for Mary’s Meals. Our Year 6 girls will be involved in making hair clips in school colours and selling them as part of their collective efforts to raise money. Watch this space for more details on this!

We are excited to let all our parents know that class assemblies for children in Year 1 – Year 6 resume again after nearly two years. Parents are welcome to attend.
