REMEMBRANCE

……Lest we forget

Year 6 led a moving assembly that provided much thought and reflection around the subject of war, conflict and world peace.

ODD SOCKS DAY

Wearing odd socks (two different socks) is a way of reminding us and drawing attention to us being different and a celebration of our differences. On Monday 15th November, please send the children in Nursery, Transition, Year1, 2 and 3 to school, wearing different socks on each foot. On Wednesday 17th November, Years 4, 5 and 6 are invited to wear odd socks. There will be assemblies on these days to reflect on and celebrate our differences and on the topics of bullying and exclusion that can often sadly, be the result of such differences.

CHILDREN IN NEED

On Friday 19th November, children may come to school dressed up as Pudsey, or dressed up as any bear and / OR (if they don’t dress up) they can just bring to school, a teddy bear. We ask for a minimum donation of £2
that will be donated to Children in Need. Please
note that your contribution can be any amount you choose, in order to support this
very important children’s charity.

THE RELUCTANT DRAGON

On Monday 29th November, we have a performance here in school, of The Reluctant Dragon by Image Theatre. The Image Theatre company have been coming to Harvington every year for about 10 years and it is always a moment of such excitement for us because their performance is an inter-active one and all children join in. Please bring £5 on the day.
