It is with great pride that we have finalised our Spring Concert. This has been recorded by Mr Vince and includes class items and instrumental performances from Nursery children to Year 6 girls. It has been put together in a very short period of time since we have been back at school and I am very grateful to Mr Vince who has, yet again as always, inspired the children and guided them in what is a very high standard of performance in all areas. Please watch and enjoy and please share this with your child as part of a celebration of not just their item, but of the entire school. The link is attached to this week’s email to all parents.

We are so fortunate to have two school libraries at Harvington. Both are well stocked with interesting and colourful books for the children to borrow and take home or to just have a quiet read in school.

Our armistice assembly was very moving and very dignified. Children in both the pre-prep and the prep sections of the school showed an appropriate sense of occasion and understanding given their young age. We reflected on the subject of war, we looked back at the history of war and we linked the sacrifices and the difficulties with the current pandemic and its effects on our lives. Finally, we looked forward to the future with optimism and anticipation.

We are saying goodbye at the end of this term to two distinguished and much valued members of staff. Mr Cook has been an excellent ambassador for the Singapore Maths method of our mathematics scheme and has led the school to great heights in his delivery of mathematics to Years 5 and 6,

The art work at Harvington Prep School is simply spectacular. The girls are driven, they are motivated and they are well taught. Their natural talents are identified, nurtured and enabled to shine.
